Fire protection services are provided through the Town of Lamont's Volunteer Fire Department. The Volunteer Fire Department provides excellent fire protection and emergency response to the residents in Lamont and surrounding area.
Fire Bans/Restrictions
FIRE BAN FOR THE TOWN OF LAMONT - Effective April 23 (4:00 pm)
Campfires, fireworks, exploding targets, charcoal barbeques, fires that require a fire permit, and any other type of outside burning are prohibited until further notice. Propane barbeques and ULC approved propane fueled fire pits are permitted.
NEW Off-Highway Restriction
No person shall operate an Off-Highway Vehicle on Municipal Property, Highway, Permitted Use Area, or trail in Lamont County during a Fire Ban and Off-Highway Vehicle Restriction.
